2006 Referendum
On December 12, 2006, the residents of Monroe Township accepted two proposals that will allow for the construction of additional educational space needed due to residential growth and the corresponding increase in student enrollment. Specifically, the
approved school construction proposal consisted of the following projects

Holly Glen Elementary |
Proposal I: Construction of additions to school totaling approximately 5,668 square feet to house a food service area and administrative support facilities, completion of other improvements to said school facility including, site work and the replacement and upgrading of the building systems.
Proposal II: Construction of an addition to school totaling approximately 4,350 square feet to house a gymnasium facility. |
Oak Knoll Elementary |
Proposal I: Construction of additions to school totaling approximately 27,873 square feet to house new classrooms and administrative support facilities together with the completion of other improvements including site work and the replacement and/or upgrading of the building systems.
Proposal II: Construction of an addition to school totaling approximately 880 square feet to house kindergarten classrooms. |
Radix Elementary |
Proposal I: Construction of an addition to school totaling approximately 390 square feet to house a security vestibule, upgrading of the building systems, replacement and/or improvement of windows flooring and doors.
Proposal II: Construction of additions to school totaling approximately 12,887 square feet to house a gymnasium, administrative support facilities and preschool, kindergarten and special education classrooms. |
Whitehall Elementary |
Proposal I: Various improvements at school including construction of a security vestibule and renovation of existing facilities to house a small group instruction room, replacement and upgrading of the building systems, acquire furniture, fixtures and equipment for said additions and improvements.
Proposal II: Construction of an addition to school totaling approximately 12, 194 square feet to house a gymnasium, administrative support facilities kindergarten and small group instruction classrooms, acquire furniture, fixtures and equipment for said additions and improvements. |
Middle School |
Proposal I: Construction of additions to school totaling approximately 35,692 square feet to house classrooms and auxiliary gymnasium and the renovation of music and art classrooms, replacement and upgrading of the building systems, and replacement and/or improvement of exterior walls and doors. |
High School |
Proposal I: Construction of additions to school totaling approximately 33,067 square feet to house classrooms and auxiliary gymnasium and replacement and upgrading of the building systems. |
