Teach effectively using state-of-the-art technology and improve student learning

Vision

Improve teaching and learning by providing related and relevant staff development for all instructional staff.

Provide administrators a brief workshop regarding effecting teaching strategies during each monthly administrative council meeting.

Monitor with each principal during monthly visits, progress being made toward improving student performance on the state assessments.

Initiate Board workshops to review (1) progress of student preparation, (2) review of student work, and (3) what is being assessed.

Involve central office supervisors in observation and coaching of teachers.

Promote effective teaching by publishing a monthly Effective Teaching newsletter for staff.

Investigate the pros and cons and if feasible initiate Joplin Scheduling at the elementary levels.

Investigate the feasibility of initiating and if feasible implement college coursework for juniors and seniors, (paid by parents) to be offered during the school day by adjunct professors from local institutions of higher learning

Review the number of 1/2 days, the justification for each, and recommend any changes.

T1 & T2	Prepare to participate in staff in-service by enrolling in college semester courses, as well as short-term seminars to learn about math teaching strategies, multiple intelligences, effective teaching strategies.
T3	Seek assistance from the instructional supervisors as to analysis of assessment results data. Request a variety of metrics to analyze the assessment results.
T4	Enroll in NJASA and NJSBA workshops to prepare to conduct board workshops.
T5 & T6	Enroll in seminars and workshops to prepare for coaching and to be better informed about effective teaching strategies.
T7	Search the Internet and Educational Research agency for information about Joplin scheduling..
T8	Meet with representatives of Gloucester County College and Camden County College to initiate dual coursework for juniors and seniors, which will be provided during the school day and paid by the students.

T3	Provide evidence of attendance in college math courses in each of the next three years.
T4	Provide evidence of attendance at a NJASA workshop or college course that prepares one to conduct a board workshop.
T5	Provide evidence of attendance at a NJASA workshop or college course that prepares one to observe and evaluate, supervise or coach teachers.
T8	Provide a list of courses offered, and number of students who enrolled each semester.
