A Special Welcome Home for Our Honor Flight Veterans

Posted Date: 10/15/26 (11:00 AM)

A large group of people gather in a school cafeteria for a community event, seated at round tables.

Live music, handmade messages of thanks, and a cafeteria filled with red, white, and blue made for a wonderful welcome at Williamstown High School on Wednesday!

Earlier in the day, veterans and their guardians traveled to Washington, D.C., with Honor Flight of Southern New Jersey to visit memorials honoring their service. Back at WHS, they gathered for a meal and enjoyed time together as students, staff, families, and community members came out to celebrate them.

Superintendent Dr. McBride, district administrators, and members of the Monroe Township Police Department joined the gathering to show their support.

Honor Flight has been a WHS tradition for more than a decade, thanks to the people who have put so much into it over the years. A heartfelt thank-you to Mrs. Czbas for her many years of organizing Honor Flight, Mrs. Carpenter for her continued help and support, and all the MTPS staff members, past and present, who have helped keep this tradition going strong.

Most importantly, to the veterans who joined us, thank you for your service and for sharing this day with our school community. It is always an honor to welcome you to WHS!

Photo note: A few outdoor photographs are from a previous Honor Flight celebration in Spring 2026 and are included as a look back at this WHS tradition.
The indoor gathering photos are from October 14, 2026.
