There were pumpkins to pick, scarecrows to meet, and a big surprise waiting for Whitehall's preschoolers last Friday!

On October 16, students set off around Whitehall Elementary School in search of a hidden pumpkin patch. When they arrived, they found plenty of pumpkins to choose from, along with a few mysterious scarecrows waiting nearby.

But as the children started picking out their pumpkins, they noticed something familiar about those scarecrows. Underneath the hats and disguises were their very own parents and loved ones!

Once the children figured it out, the pumpkin patch was filled with laughter, hugs, and some very excited preschoolers.

A big thank-you to our preschool families for taking the time to dress up, keep the surprise a secret, and make the day so special for their children. We're also grateful to Wawa for generously donating pretzels for the celebration!

What a fun way to celebrate fall and bring our Whitehall families together. Judging by all those smiles and hugs, the surprise was well worth keeping secret!
