Preschool Readiness

  • Provide opportunities for your child to play with other children in a social setting.
  • Take time to read and explore books.
  • Talk with your child. Practice asking and answering questions.
  • Make a game out of practicing self-help skills. For example, you could practice taking off and putting on your jacket. If your child is bringing their lunch to school, you could have a picnic before school starts and have them practice unzipping their lunchbox.
